Here are the general update steps:.
1. Update Steps
1.1 Download the latest source code package (.zip file) from our website HERE
1.2 Unzip the file and cover the original directory. For example, if ZenTao was installed in the directory c:\xampp\zentao, then cover it with the downloaded files. The operation steps are: Copy all the files from zentaoalm/, and then paste them to xampp\zentao
1.3 Perform the upgrade procedure. For example, if the access path of ZenTao is http://192.168.1.99/zentao/, the update path will be http://192.168.1.99/zentao/upgrade.php.
1.4 Select ZenTao version according to the wizard and follow the instructions.
Note:
Do not unzip the latest package after removing the original programs. Please make sure to cover the original directory. Do not copy it to c:\xampp\zentao\zentao.
Do not download the .exe file to update ZenTao, or it will cover all the original data.
2. Extension Compatibility
If extensions developed by a third party have been installed before the upgrade, check whether the extensions are compatible with the latest version.
If you cannot access to ZenTao after the upgrade, please follow the steps below:
- Rename the currently running code folder of ZenTao (The default names are zentao or zentaopms)
- Download the Source Code of the same ZenTao version, unzip it and place it under the same directory. Keep the folder name as same as the previous running code folder of ZenTao.
- Copy config/my.php, www/data/upload/1, www/.ztaccess, and www/.htaccess from the original directory and paste to the directory of the source package just downloaded.
